Introducing the EZ Effort Lift: The Next Generation of Lifting is Here

In both acute and long-term care settings, safe patient handling equipment must do more than lift, it must enable efficiency, support mobility, and protect staff and those being cared for.

The EZ Effort™ Lift series is designed to do just that. Available in 500 lb., 750 lb., and 1,000 lb. weight capacities, this next-generation mobile lift line is engineered to improve care delivery at every level. Whether you're managing daily transfers, bariatric care, or early mobility programs, the EZ Effort Lift helps reduce strain and streamline workflow without compromising safety.

Key Benefits for Care Teams

Three Models to Fit a Range of Patient Needs

  • EL500 – Ideal for standard care environments (500 lb. weight capacity)

  • EL750 – Suited for bariatric and high-frequency use (750 lb. weight capacity)

  • EL1000 – Built for complex, heavy-duty lifting in high-acuity care (1,000 lb. weight capacity)

The EZ Effort supports full-body transfers, lifts from the floor, repositioning, limb support, early mobility

activities, and ambulation. Each can be equipped with an optional integrated scale to weigh patients during transfer, saving time and reducing the need for additional equipment. The EZ Effort Lift is also designed for use by a single caregiver (as permitted by organizational policy, patient condition, and type of transfer).

Ambulation-Ready for Early Mobility Protocols

The EZ Effort Lift supports upright ambulation (EL750 and EL1000 models) and early mobility activities, a key feature for rehab units, ICUs, and progressive care programs. When paired with the appropriate sling, caregivers can assist patients in standing and walking exercises, reducing risks associated with prolonged immobility including deconditioning and pressure injuries.

Premium Casters with Full Under-Bed Clearance

EZ Way’s redesigned 4" premium swivel casters reduce push/pull force by up to 60% while maintaining the same under-bed clearance as previous 3" caster models. The result is smoother mobility, less strain on caregivers, and easier navigation in tight patient rooms. This is a vital upgrade for preventing musculoskeletal injuries in caregivers, especially when maneuvering lifts under load.

The EL500 model offers an optional low leg base with 2.25” clearance, ideal for low-clearance beds and stretchers with minimal clearance.

Multizone Controls: More Control at the Point of Care

The EZ Effort Lift features three intuitive control zones, allowing staff to operate the lift with:

  • A handset with integrated backlit LCD display (IPX6-rated)

  • A secondary control panel on the mast for adjustments during movement or positioning

  • The integrated control box

This multizone setup increases workflow flexibility and enhances caregiver control throughout the transfer process.

The backlit LCD screen on the handset offers real-time feedback, including:

  • Battery charge level

  • Function display

  • Total usage time

  • Overload alerts

  • Diagnostic data

  • Patient weight via integrated scale (optional)

The display reduces guess work and helps staff track lift usage for preventive maintenance and ROI analysis.

Lightweight Design Reduces Handling Strain

The EZ Effort Lift’s overall weight has been optimized to reduce strain when moving the lift to a room or performing a transfer. Combined with reduced rolling resistance, this feature helps prevent unnecessary exertion for caregivers, especially when performing multiple transfers throughout a shift.

Designed for Long-Term Use and Continuous Operation

Every EZ Effort model is built for clinical durability and 24/7 performance, featuring:

  • All-steel epoxy-coated frames

  • Lithium-ion batteries providing ~100 lifts per charge

  • Anti-pinch, overload detection, manual lowering, and emergency stop functions for safety

  • 10-year expected life cycle

These features reduce equipment downtime, lower maintenance costs, and maximize the return on investment over time.

Why It Matters

Investing in smarter, safer lifts means more than checking a compliance box. It helps you:

  • Prevent musculoskeletal injuries for staff and improve patient safety

  • Increase operational efficiency by enabling faster, safer transfers

  • Improve clinical outcomes by supporting early mobility, reducing deconditioning, and shortening length of stay

When 1 in 5 healthcare workers’ injuries stem from patient handling tasks, the need for ergonomic, tech-enabled lifting solutions is clear.

Ready to See It in Action?

The EZ Effort Lift is built with your workflow and safety in mind. From high-acuity hospital units to long-term care communities, it’s designed to meet the moment without overcomplicating the lift.
